The Imprint Exercise at Earthbound

The Imprint Exercise took place at Earthbound Symposium 2025 in collaboration between choreographer Ingrid Tranum Velásquez, scholar and researcher Anja Mølle Lindelof, scholar and researcher Pernille Welent Sørensen.

The exercise encounters the materials of a landscape and the traces we leave behind. Traces hold valuable knowledge about our choreographies and encounters with the body of earth. Personal stories. Collective relations. Shared consequences. Entering a deep state of sensing, we transformed traces into scores of intentions and invitations, a ritualistic composition, searching for the dance which is truly shared between soil, water, mud, clay, bones, skin and flesh.
